Focal Hadenys and Azurys – New Wired Headphones Inspired by The Bathys

May 9, 2024 3 Min Read

Focal just launched two new headphone models: Hadenys open-back and Azurys closed-back designs, respectively.

Both models use Focal’s 40mm M-shaped aluminum/magnesium speaker drivers, apparently the same that’s found in the Bathys. The design is also heavily inspired, or rather basically identical, to that of the Bathys. Here’s Bathys first (in grey) followed by the Azurys (blue):

They have an impedance of 26 ohms and a sensitivity of 100 dB. The cable is single sided and balanced only, and these cannot be used with balanced sources.

Hadenys is priced at $699 USD, and Azurys is priced at $549 USD. Both include a carrying case and a cable.
