New Final D7000 Flagship – Review Coming

May 8, 2024 1 Min Read

Final launched their new planar magnetic full-size flagship headphone, the D7000, at CanJam in March. We will review it in the near future. The D7000 is now available for purchase and is priced at £2999/$3499. .

It has been introduced as a supplementary new “flagship product”, which will be available alongside the well established D8000 and D8000 Pro Edition,

The D7000 offers a sound signature that sets it apart from other D-series models. Final says it has delicate highs and powerful lows, and generally delivers a smoother and richer experience.

Final has improved its AFDS “Air Film Damping System”, which is a technology developed to avoid that the diaphragm gets in contact with the magnets at low frequencies. This improves bass performance at high volumes.

For the D7000, Final has also developed a new “pinna-aligned diffuser technology”, which is addressing the effect that the human ear has on the sound. The sonic influence of the individual variations in ear shape and size is claimed to be minimised with the pinna-aligned diffuser, resulting in better sonic consistency between listeners than other headphones.

We’re looking forward to review the D7000 here on The Headphoneer.
